tic-a-toc
inaakit ako ng orasan.
ang alok niya:
intayin ko raw siya.
ang banat ko:
bilisan niya.
ang hamon niya:
be patient.
ang sagot ko:
.... .
tama nga ang orasan.
kumbaga, ang kanyang kilos at takbo sa lumilipas na panahon,
kalakip na rin sa paglipol ng mga nagdaang alaala.
katuwang niya ang paghimlay ng mga saloobing di kanais nais;
pinakainaasam asam mong mahagkan.

Ako'y sa Iyo at Ika'y sa Akin
Araw ko'y papanglaw
Kung di ka matatanaw
Khit saglit manlang
Ika'y masilayan
Sayo nga'y naghihintay
Sa pag ibig mo hihimlay
Diyo's ang siyang pinagmulan
Ating pagmamahalan
Kahit pa magtatagal
Ako'y maghihintay
Kahit ulitin pang muli
Ang panahon n nagdaan
Hindi ako magpapagal
Di malulumbay
Aking tutunghayan
Ang bawat oras man
Alam ng may kapal
Puso'y wag mangangamba
pagkat wala na ngang iba
Mata ko'y nakapako na
sayo lamang aking sinta
At nais kong malaman m
Hindi ako mahihiya
Ipagsigawan sa mundo
Mahal na mahal kita.
Kung di ka matatanaw
Khit saglit manlang
Ika'y masilayan
Sayo nga'y naghihintay
Sa pag ibig mo hihimlay
Diyo's ang siyang pinagmulan

even poets do laundry
Even poets do the laundry
Wash the dishes in the kitchen sink
Even poets are enslaved
to the schematic daily routine
Even poets do the laundry
But meanwhile they dream
Of someone else's pain
and of their own suffering.
Even poets do the laundry
From their own colorful thoughts
Picking words from the scattered pile
and assembling sentences line by line.
Wash the dishes in the kitchen sink

Even poets do the laundry
But meanwhile they dream
Of someone else's pain
and of their own suffering.

bagong buhay
nasilaw sa iyong anino
di nararapat na ika'y masilayan
at sa pagdapo ng iyong mga labi
sa aking makinis na balikat
at ang kanyang pansamantalang pagtigil roon
buntong hininga
sabay pikit -
dinala ako roon
sa lugar na pinakatagu-tago sa lahat
buong buhay kitang hinihintay
inaasam na mawari't makilatis
ibiging himayi't pupulutin ang mga butil
ng iyong sibulan ng pag-ibig
lisanin natin ang buhay ngayon
humarap sa buong pagsikat ng araw
mainit at masarap ang silat-kamay ng Diyos
tayo'y pinapatawa Niyang pilit pinasasaya.
ako'y iyong tuklasin
sa pamamagitan lamang ng isang malalim na tingin
at kahit sabaw na ang ating mga utak
pagsinta'y walang kakupas-kupas,
mahal q.

Looking
out the door
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water
Maybe I'm too young
To keep good love from going wrong
But tonight, you're on my mind so
You never know
Broken down and hungry for your love
With no way to feed it
Where are you tonight?
Child, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on
And too old to just break free and run
Sometimes a man gets carried away,
When he feels like he should be having his fun
Much too blind to see the damage he's done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really,
He has no-one...
So I'll wait for you... And I'll burn
Will I ever see your sweet return?
Oh, will I ever learn?
Oh, Lover, you should've come over
Cause it's not too late.
Lonely is the room the bed is made
The open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one
Who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep
That won't ever come
It's never over,
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It's never over,
all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her...
It's never over,
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...
It's never over,
She's a tear that hangs inside my soul forever...
But maybe I'm just too young to keep good love
From going wrong
Oh... lover you should've come over...
Yes, and I feel too young to hold on
I'm much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind
To see the damage I've done
Sweet lover, you should've come over
Oh, love, well I'll wait for you
Lover, you should've come over
'Cause it's not too late.
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water
Maybe I'm too young
